Hi everybody!

We got back from Denver late Monday night, and jumped right back into the "normal" routine yesterday morning. The trip went really well. Shelby & B got along most of the time, but I could tell on Monday that they were starting to get on each other's nerves a little bit. The big event of the trip this time was going to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science to see the exhibit called BodyWorlds2. This German doctor uses real human bodies that are donated specifically for this program. I was absoultely amazed by it, but Shelby was a little grossed out.  She also said she didn't like the large crowd that was there. So, I don't know if it was the display itself or the claustrophobic feeling she had from the crowd - maybe a little of both, but she was ready to leave by the time we were about halfway through it. For a little bit of what it was like, go to the website, www.bodyworlds.com and check it out. Other highlights of the trip were dinner & Denver's best margaritas (according to AOL) at Benny's, and pizza from Basil Doc's. This is a new place that my sister has discovered since the last time we were out there over Christmas. It has been added to the "must do" list for future trips. The pizza was fantastic! We also went to Golden to see the place she is getting married in May.

Apparently it is not a good time for us to be driving. Denver sis called me this morning and told me that she & her fiance got into an accident last night and their car was totalled. Someone blew through an intersection as they were turning left on a green arrow and hit them, spinning them around and then fled the scene. They only got a partial plate, which was old and had been expired for about 2 years according to the police.  hmmmmm suppose he had any insurance? I'm thinkin' NOT! Anyway, thankfully they are OK and not injured, just have to deal with the insurance co. and the fall-out after the accident. Not something they need when they are supposed to be going to Vegas for some friends' wedding this weekend, then wrapping things up on their own wedding plans  I told her that this is probably the first of many, many, many curveballs to come their way. Welcome to Married Life honey! Then shortly after 1pm I got a call from Lincoln sis telling me that SHE had been driving along in between jobs when her pickup decided to up & die without warning while she was going along a major street. She was able to pull off onto a side street, but quit moving before she could get lined up with the curb and park the truck reasonably out of the way. So she ended up sitting diagonally facing a tree. She said it looked like she was aiming right for the tree but ran out of gas before she hit. This is the same truck that got hit not too long ago and I tried talking her into trading it off and getting something different. She blew it off saying she was gonna wait just a little longer.....All this has kinda made me think twice about my plans to go to Lincoln later on after work and run some errands, but I can't let their misfortune stop me. I've got no one else to do it but me so I gotta do what I gotta do! (But I will be wearing my seatbelt)

Meanwhile, the weather has gotten back to being nice, it's sunny and in the upper 50's today, the snow from last week is just about all melted. This evening and tomorrow we are supposed to see some thunderstorms possibly! Coooool. Well, that's the update for now, I'll be reading everybody's entries and catching up with you all in the next couple days now that I've unburied myself from the mountain of paper that was on my desk when I got back!
