Dumbass XH called last night wanting to know why I wasn't gonna do anything special for Easter w/Shelby. He was shocked  that I had told her I wasn't going to do much and told me he thought that was just terrible. So I asked him what he had planned. What kind of special treat did he have for her? (silence - looooooooonnnnnnggggggg silence)

Then even though I didn't owe him an explanation, I told him that I had simply talked to her about Easter, and explained that after all the bills were paid & groceries bought, there wasn't much left for a basked of candy that she didn't need anyway. We will go to church then have dinner with some friends and that will be it. I told her that I am planning on doing something very special for her b-day which is just around the corner.  She said she was OK with that and she would have plenty of candy with the Easter egg hunts she is helping out with anyway. I made it a point to tell him that the $$$ shortfall was due to the fact that I have not gotten jack-diddly-squat in the form of child support since he has not been working a "real" job, but just does odd jobs for this guy that owns some property around town for cash. Convenient, huh?  I've not said as much to Shelby but I'm sure she can see that there's never any type of check in the mail when we get it every day.

I hope the Easter Bunny leaves him little "presents" that are not chocolate in his Easter basket this year!
