Time Flies When You're Having Fun

I looked at my profile today and noticed that yesterday was one year since I joined Momsbuzz and started this blog. It has turned into one of the best ways I have to cope with the daily craziness in my life. Especially when it comes to dealing with my ex, AKA The Dumbass - we'll talk more about him in a minute.  It has also been a cool way to "meet" other moms, hear other women's stories, get and offer advice, and find out I'm not alone on this rollercoaster.  Thank you everybody for reading and sharing your comments.

So, now, The Dumbass...

I ran into him last night at our mutual friends' house (go figure - what are the chances?) and, long story short, he pushed my buttons and I ended up telling him I've started seeing someone else.  You can probably guess what's been happening since then..........phone calls, phone calls and more phone calls. Here are the highlights:

1-he is going to get a court order to make me tell him the new guy's name

2-he has a right to know since his daughter is involved

3-he has contacts in the down I live in that are watching everything I do and everything that goes on at my house

4-he has a private investigator friend who will find out who the new guy is

5-he wants the car battery back that he willingly put into my car when his died 8 months ago just after he had bought the battery and is prepared to get the police involved to do so

Here are the highlights of what I told him:

1-go ahead and try to get a court order to force me to tell him the name. The judge will laugh himself off the bench if it gets that far.

2-who has custody? Oh yeah, that's right....me-and only me!

3-let 'em watch

4-he must have alot of money to throw around in order to do all this - especially since while he was in jail I found out he was over $700 behind in his rent!

5-I feel so special that he's focusing all this attention on me and what's going on in my life...maybe if he would have worried this much about what was going on while we were married, we would still be.....nah, I doubt that very much.

6-get your receipts, bring the cops and take the f'ing battery.

7-LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!!!!!!!

Hopefully I have a quiet weekend. I don't plan on being anywhere he can find me, and if at all possible I hope it stays that way...

I hope you have a great weekend. I have to deal with an ex like that too! Our son is 14 and he is just now starting to leave me alone. Just because he owes me $6500 in child support. Good luck with the new guy!
