Thanks for Being Such a Great Employee...Now Bend Over and Take This!

In our paystub envelope today, we received a memo about benefit enrollment for next year coming up. We were informed via this memo that our health insurance plan will be changing. We currently have a plan that offers 3 choices for coverage & premiums. We are changing to a plan that only offers 2 choices. A colorful plan that includes option a) $250/$500 deductible for which Employee + 1 coverage (my case) will cost $217.25 per paycheck (every 2 weeks) or option b) $1000/$2000 deductible for which Employee + 1 coverage will cost $111.06 per paycheck. The plan I currently have costs $68.12 per paycheck....that means even for the less expensive plan it is an increase of $42.94 per check!!! Let alone considering the fact that Shelby and myself combined haven't had anywhere close to $1000 in medical expenses this year.  So, I guess that means that we won't have health insurance next year. Wonderful. These blues are not good for me.

so sorry bout them bending ya over at work with yer health coverage. that really sucks big time.... hope the week gets better for ya
