Don't Look Now, the 80's are Back!

Yesterday, I took Shelby & NewGuy's 2 girls shopping at the mall for "Lemon Days" which is supposed to be the big season-end clearance. Because, "Duuuuuuuuddde! Everything's 75% off!!!"  My personal theory on this is that the phrase "Lemon Days" is derived from the fact that this is the stuff still left after months of being in the shops....therefore, lemons - which they put on big discounts to see if they can convince people to buy on the cheap the stuff that nobody has bought since early fall.

Aaaannnnyyyyywwaaaayyyy.....as we were browsing and carousing the shops, I noticed that along with the bright neon colors that have been back for a while, now we also have some of the accessories.  Like, the Madonna-esque fishnet glove-like thing for your arm; the HUGE earrings (also in the neon colors); not to mention the skinny pants that no one can fit into that has legs bigger around than a match stick. It was so funny watching these 3 kids try on and giggle over all that stuff that we thought was just sooooooooo cool! And sadly, yes I did hear "Mom, you had stuff like this back then???" Like it was the 1880's or something.  *sheesh*

Well, time to go pick up the dear darling one from school. Now gimme my walker so I can get outta here!

Yesterday, my husband and I were trying to pull up our first cars online to show his daughter what they looked like. We had a horrible time even finding a picture of them. Mainly what we found is used parts for sale.

It made us both feel so old. Tim's first car was a hot sports car...well it was in the 80's. Chelsea was like, " uh, Daddy, that is UGLY!"

Oh well...............
