Paging Dr. Freud....and Score One for the Old Lady

At 6:15 this morning as I was getting ready for work I had the TV on listening to the local morning news & weather.  As I walked through the living room enroute to my bedroom, they were talking about the top 3 ways to avoid spreading the cold & flu virus.  As they read the list, it was also put up on the TV screen. 

What I heard...."Number 3 is 'Use your own pens.' "

What my brain saw on the TV..."3. Use your own penis."

I stopped dead in my tracks and blinked a couple times to clear the fog and the eye boogers...."Use your own penis...WHAT?!?!?!" and then I busted up laughing.  Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!!!  When I looked again, it was actually pens. So, the Freudian slip was only mine, not someone else's.  It's been a good story to tell at work today that's for sure.

Oh, the DRAMA.....

Last weekend, Shelby was IM'ing on MSN messenger and one of her classmates came on, told her she was mad at her and called her a bunch of names. So Shelby, being the not-gonna-take-any-crap-off-anybody redhead that she is fired right back and said the same stuff back to her.  The other girl told her she wanted Shelby to say it to her face on Monday at school.  Of course, I found out about it on the trip to school yesterday morning.  I asked why this other girl was mad at Shelby. I told  'don't give her what she wants - she only wants you to do that so you will be the one to get in trouble and some other "motherly advice".  During school she was talking to a couple other girls who said that girl did the same thing to them and then Shelby told them what I had said.  Then they responded with "Hey, your mom's pretty cool." "Go your Mom".  So, they all decided they would take my advice and none of them talked to her and when she tried to talk to them and provoke them, they just walked away and didn't say anything......heh. Maybe Mom knows something after all.

We are MOM'S and therefore we rule!!!! We also know everything but the kids won't figure that out till they have kids of there own. Good goin mom!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that was too early in the morning for your mind to be going THERE! Too funny!

Once in a great while, one of our kids acknowledge that they have cool parents. Most of the time, we are dorks.....but it is nice to have our moments in glory. :-)
