Happy Valentine's Day

to everybody

From Leo, I got a dozen long-stemmed roses in a red vase delivered this morning.  Apparently it's been a topic of conversation out in the hallways and the cafeteria.  Nice to know I can provide the daily fuel for the gossip train here. But then again, maybe it's just jealousy....I haven't seen any other bouquets of roses around on other desks.....

Shelby got me a cute card with a picture of a chocolate-covered toddler on the front.  On the outside it says "Thanks, Mom" and when you open it, it says "for loving me even I wasn't especially huggable. Happy Valentine's Day" and then she wrote "I wanna let you know that I love you and admire you alot. You are my favoritest person in the whole world. Happy Valentine's Day. Shelby"  I will be holding onto that one....'cuz I have a feeling there's gonna be lots of times she's not especially huggable in the next few years.  

Nothing much to update about, except it's freakin cold! It was -10 when I got up this morning and the high was supposed to be 9 above.  We won't even discuss the windchill. bbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

As the stepmom of an almost 15 year old...I advise you hold on to that sweet card for dear life. LOL You will want to remind yourself down the road how sweet she used to be.

Congrats on the roses. It is always nice to feel showered with attention and affection. We are getting ready to go on a real date. Figured we've spent too much money on the bedroom furniture and all, so we aren't doing gifts. But, truthfully, time alone together is more precious than gold.

Glad yer having a good one. So Leo sent ya long stem red roses an all the prima donna's is jealous?? GOOD!!! It the least they deserve. ;) ;) Yes me is a mean ole' one when people is cruel to others..

Keep that card in a safety deposit box.. If ya ever lose it an yer anything like me {{saints preserve us if you is ~~ but ya can't be ~~ yer a good persong}} the quilt over losing it will live with ya for a lifetime. Me remembers a handwritten letter me got from TG one Xmas and when it got lost me cried. It still to this day bothers me. So, err on the side of safety and get it in a lock box or safety deposit box.
