From the Lioness' Den...

Surprised and Overwelmed

are two words that describe Leo's reaction to my taking him out for his birthday last night.  He couldn't believe I "went to the trouble" of getting the assistant manager to cover the last few hours for him and planned with the kids to take him out, etc.  All of which took a grand total of about 20 minutes.  25 if you count the 5 minutes it took to go into Walmart and get a bag of confetti to put inside his cards and the gift card holder box I got from Hallmark.  

We went to Applebee's for supper.  The kids were good (well, mostly), Leo was happy and relaxed, and the food was great.  We all had a nice time.  After we got home, he kept saying Thank You and how nobody had ever done anything like that for him before.  Today, he sent a cute e-card saying thanks again. Sweet.

Looks like I'm not gonna be able to write that big blow you away story like I talked about.  Leo had a court date today regarding custody and other issues, and what he & his attorney thought was going to happen isn't quite going to happen yet, because the state has some loose ends to tie up on their part. So, it could be another couple months before I can write that story. I will say this: my divorce was so cut & dry and easy compared to his that it pales in comparison.  He & his ex split a week before Dumbass & I did....and my divorce has been final for 8 months.  So, stay tuned for that.......

On the weight loss and exercise front, I have lost 5.5 pounds in 2 weeks, and have been exercising every day on my lunch break for 30 minutes. Yay me!

That is so sweet. I have often said that to truly appreciate someone that is good for you, first you have to experience someone who is bad for you. I think it is wonderful that Leo has learned not to take a good woman for granted.

Congrats on the weight loss. You are off to a great start!

Awesome. So, ya shocked him huh?? Looks like yer really a romantic under all the Leo The Lion ROARRRRRRRIN' huh?? Ah, me knew ya was. And surprise , he's one two!!!! Ain't it great that ya met and he appreciates the little things that make up a relationship?? Especially, when ya is really a romantic??? ;) ;)

Me thinks what ya did was awesome. And is happy that he was so overwhelmed by it. No one had ever done something like that for him?? HMMM. Kinda reminds me of being given a dozen roses by the ole man and when he found out me reaction he couldnt beleive that no one had ever done that for me. He said me should has been given roses alot of times but not me. So, me knows where Leo is comin from.

Good for you for shockin him and making him happy and all that for his birthday. Just think of the other things ya can do when the kidlets aint watching?? OK OK MY BAD!!!!!! Me thinks you two make a great couple. And is destined for a long a happy relationship. Dare me say it ?? NOPE NOPE!!!!! But hell, aint love grand?? ;) ;)
