Poppin' InI took a few days off work....Monday & Tuesday to help my sister move, and last Friday was a Fuck-it Day. I love those. It had been a long month since the beginning of March and I needed a break so at the last minute I tacked on Friday to my already approved time off Mon & Tues. Leo & I spent a few hours together before he had to go to work and that was fun. We discovered a new sportsbar that we both liked so I'm sure we'll be going back sometime. Moving my sister was an adventure Today I came back to work, relieved that there were no steps to climb. That is until I got to my desk and saw the mountain of paper - notes, messages, time off requests, trade sheets, agency staff time slips, and various other detritus. Feels like it took me hours to climb that and get everything sorted through. I kept hearing "Boy it's good to see you back." and "Glad you're home." and "Nice to have you here." heh. This shit from the same people that have been known to say "What does she do all day?" and "Why is she here if she can't take care of things?" and the list goes on. Bite me. The only reason you're glad I'm back is so you can quit trying to do my job. I know it's a long way off, but the ink won't be dry on my diploma before my feet are kicking up a cloud of dust as I run the hell out of here. Leo's sis called me mid-morning and asked if I wanted to get together Friday night & have a few beers. I told her that after this week of 11pm being the earliest I've gone to bed so far, that one beer will probably put me under. She said "That's OK, we'll just lay you out on the floor, line beer bottles up around you, and take pictures then post them on the internet." Nice. What's family for? I just hope she doesn't tell my sister about it....she'd come and help! Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 74 of 300 } { Next Page } |
