The Difference a Day Makes

Yesterday's high temp was 89 and today is 68. MAJOR cold front went through last night.  No tornados, so that was good.  It was a  good thunderstorm though.  Lots of awesome lightning and thunder, the clouds were rolling and churning for awhile and lots of rain - probably about an inch or so.  There were some reports of hail around the area but nothing where I live. Leo's store had part of the ceiling cave in from lots of rain water collecting in a spot.  He said they probably had about 2 inches of rain in about 1/2 hour there.  He closed the store early and spent about 3 hours cleaning up the mess. yuk. 

There's a band banquet tonight, but I'd much rather go home. Oh, well, what do ya do.  It's not like I can call Dumbass and say I don't feel like going, will you?  Besides that, he hasn't earned that right!

I thought I'd have some spare time this week with no classes, but things are quickly filling it up.  Tonight's banquet, tomorrow Leo's kids have a track meet and I have to help him shop for a shirt & tie for the wedding he's in on Saturday.  Thursday is the last day of school and Shelby's class is having an end-of-the-year-dance. Friday we pull the camper to the town that the wedding is in and set up at the campground.  Rehearsal is Friday night, the wedding is Saturday afternoon.  Sunday afternoon I am having a spa party at my house like the one I went to a few weeks ago where we have some nice relaxing skin treatments, foot treatments and soothing music etc, etc, etc.  AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then Monday starts a new week and we do it all again!

I can relate so well. Today we had Vocational Awards for the High School and several other things for the kids in the coming weeks. Their last day is June 1.

Enjoy your spa party, wish I could find someone close by me having one.

must live close to eachother as I am having the same weather. Gonna be cold ALL weekend too. Hope not too cold where it kills all my flowers, my daffodils didn't even bloom this year cause of the last foot of snow..

Oh, how I could use something like that right now. Sounds fun.

The past few years I have learned that as a working mom, there is no such thing as a quiet week. If there isn't one thing going on, there is another. And on the rare occasion a quiet week ( or even a day) comes along, it is always a surprise. I cannot ever plan it to be that way.
