On the Mend

Had a doc appt at the "other" clinic yesterday - good news!  My kneecap is healing well, and the doc said that if I had to have a fracture, that was the place and direction to have it.  It is along the outside of the left knee and goes vertically.  If I'd broken it horizontally and/or in the middle, I would have had surgery by now.  I just have to wear the brace for 4 more weeks and then will re-xray.  The stitches come out Monday.

As far as my recent unemployment goes, I have all the balls rolling that I need to have there.  I've been on my phone a lot during the last few days.  From the info I received, it isn't looking like I will qualify to have the job search requirement waived.  They don't allow Bachelor's Degree programs....just vocational programs, which I think is unfair, but whatever.  Like Leo said, how hard is it to drop off a job app and then ignore phone calls?

Other than making phone calls & taking care of my knee, not much else has been happening.  Shelby had 2 friends spend the night last night - fun.  She got a s'mores maker a couple years ago for Christmas and she finally got that out to use last night.  It was pretty cool makin' 'em in the living room.

We are going to go pick up Leo's boat on Saturday (and revisit the scene of the injury :) ) We plan on picking it up, taking it out on the lake for the day, cooking hot dogs & burgers then going home.  I think I've had enough camping for a while!

That's the update for now, next time, I'll have to write about the not-so-wonderful ER experience I had after hurting my knee.

Me's with Leo on this. How hard is it to drop off 2 resumes and ignore the phone calls?? Gotta love a man who actually uses his brain. He got a spare one of him or maybe a brother whose just like him who is willing to relocate to Southern Ont. ? ;) ;)

p.s. A bachelor's degree doesnt count huh? They is soooo full of themselves. Betcha couldn't get a job working for U.I. with a damn Bachelor's Degree anyways. Blah to them. ;) ;) You go an knock um dead anyways girl!!!!!!

So sorry about all your recent crap. That really is sucky, and to cap it all you'll be 40 on Sunday ! Never mind, you'll survive it, I always believe that something better is just around the corner, ( I have horrible Pollyanna type tendencies, but I'm working hard on my cynicism)

I have been away from the computer for a few days ( working & sleeping) and just now read your posts! You poor thing! What a suckie thing to happen when you come back from vacation. And with a busted knee too.

You seem to be handling it very well...good for you! I'll look forward to seeing what ends up happening on the job front.
