Hello------I'm Still Here! The worst thing about having the hospital job eliminated is the lack of computer access! I don't miss the job at all. Imagine that! I had what had to be the world's fastest job interview ever this morning. 9 minutes! It's for a receptionist/secretary in a law office here in town. It's very part time, 20 hrs per week. Very flexible schedule, I can do homework there if there's nothing else for me to do. Time off for different things is not a problem. The exposure & experience in a legal office would be very good. The job's mine if I want it. I told him that I would have to talk to Health & Human Services this afternoon and Unemployment tomorrow morning and find out how working at that job will affect the benefits I qualify for. If they are eliminated or decreased to the point where it's not worth me working, I won't take it. I will just focus on school and collect unemployment. I would like to work....if I wasn't getting packed for the move, I would go crazy at home, but if it's not gonna be worth it, I won't. I told him I should have a decision by tomorrow afternoon. He wants me to start Monday. Packing so far has gone very slowly. I've been hampered a bit by the knee, and by appointments & such. Next week is crunch time - moving days are Friday & Saturday. School has gotten underway for both Shelby & myself. She's having a good time so far in 8th grade. Hope that continues, but this is only the first week. My classes both seem like they're going to be be very interesting. Both teachers have said that as long as you show up, participate in class and do the work, it's hard to not do well. That's pretty much life as I know it right now.....all is as good as can be expected.
