Roller Coaster DayFought with Shelby the whole time before I took her to school today
Well, that was part of yesterday, I was going in so many directions, I didn't have time to finish. The good thing is, that the roller coaster stayed on a pretty even keel after the workday was done. The real Shelby was the one I picked up from school, the screaming fire-breathing one was the one I dropped off. (Have I mentioned she has red hair and everything that goes with it?) So, we patched things up and went home to get ready for a Pampered Chef party I was having. The party went well, the food was great & I had a good $ amount in sales so I will get the 3 things I want all for about the cost of one of them. How cool is that?
The parenting class was a waste of 3 hours of my life. I know it was technically not wasted, since I had to do it and was complying with the court order. BUT all it was, was 2 people sitting in front of the class (there were about 15 of us there) reading word for word out of a workbook. With gas at $2.89 a gallon I really think they could have mailed us the workbook, had us fill in the worksheets, and send it in to get our certificate of completion. But why do that when you can charge $60 a head to take the class and have people come there to take it? When the evaluation forms came out, I told them exactly what I thought. It did reinforce what I've been striving to do as a mom during this whole thing though, and thanks for the words of encouragement, it definitely helps to know that there are others who know exactly what it's like.
Update from the Oh-so-fine-Jewelry dept. at Walmart! My ring is back (much sooner than I thought it would be.) and so far, so good. It's only been a couple days, but so far the stones are still holding together. I still think I'm gonna have a couple words with the general manager of the whole store and see if there isn't some sort of thing he can do ($50 gift card?) to compensate me for all the trouble this whole thing has been.
That's about it from my corner of the world, Wednesday already...tonight I'm going to start getting ready to go out of town for the weekend Friday night to go to the friend's house that was here a couple weekends ago and took me to the football game with her. Can't wait! Hope you all have a smooth sailin' kind of day! Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 287 of 300 } { Next Page } |
