Too Long

Posted at 12:38 AM, Jun. 14, 2007

Sadly, I have been advised not to write in my blog.  :(  It is too bad that someone can use your feelings against someone else completely uninvolved, but apparently they can.  Anyway, I just wanted to say I miss my stampingzoo girls and I miss doing the word of the day... maybe I will just make it the word of the day...

Posted at 4:40 PM, Jan. 14, 2007

So Tryna and I were standing in the kitchen talking, and she says "Was that the TV?"  And when it clicked into me what we just heard I screamed "NO!!!" And ran to the front door, Tryna hot on my tail... well we opened the door so fast and furiously that it almost scared the wits out of him and he just about took off.  He came in though.  He is home... ARTEMIS IS HOME!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am so happy.  He is crying and cold and hungry but he is home.  He has definately lost a few lbs... yeah but that is all right.  He weighed 12 lbs at one time.  So he has a few to lose.  :)  I am so happy happy happy...

Oh my goodness...

Posted at 1:09 AM, Jan. 13, 2007

I am so sad.  We found a set of kitty paw tracks that could possibly be Artemis's but we followed them under the deck and out down to the shed and off across the yard into Tracy's yard and the snow just gets too deep, we can't follow them anymore.  It looks like they go under her trailer and she said she heard some noises under there so keep your fingers crossed that we can find him in the daylight tomorrow.  I am so upset.  I was so sure we would find him in the shed.  He hasn't eaten for 3 days... as far as I know...

The cat HAS to come back...

Posted at 4:36 PM, Jan. 12, 2007

Well, I don't know if you all know but we have been having a HORRIBLE snow storm up here.  For 2 days I wasn't able to drive up my road and my gas has been turned out twice for whatever reason.  There was a power transformer that blew up on it's pole and started a fire and there was a snow drift taller than me.  Well, I finally made it home and the gas company came and turned my gas back on for me and lit my furnace and hot water heater and I was able to spend the night at home last night.  But now I have an even larger issue, the cat is missing.  I can't find him, I have called and called for him, I didn't know he was out during the storm because he is so fat and lazy that he stays in the house most of the time.  I am worried SICK.  I can't believe he is just gone.  I am sure he is somewhere safe and warm but I am so worried!  There is definately the chance that he is at the bottom of a snowdrift somewhere too... I am going to make posters tonight.  I have A LOT of pictures of him so I can make them and hang them all around our little town.  Lets just hope someone found him and took pity on him while my road was snowed in and I couldn't get home to him.  Please keep you fingers crossed for me!

HOLY MOLY!

Posted at 3:42 AM, Jan. 6, 2007

So the bosses are away and Julie and I are doing our best in the office but holy man.  I think I need to tell my herboss to quit telling me that there will be no surprises with the mortgages.  I don't usually do the mortgages but when there is nobody else there I have to wing it.  Well, this time there wasn't any surprises... RIGHT!  Just because they should be referred to as disasters not surprises! LOL... so I think I got through it OK, but I guess I will find out on Monday.  As for the himboss, not too major at all, just needed to send out a couple of trades for signature guarantee but Kelly (the processing goddess) knows what to do in that case... THANK YOU KELLY!!!  So I made it through the week, and even got the suitability reviews done.  Yeah, Julie is not too happy about that but hey... So basically the only thing I didn't do is get the reports done and I can work on that on Monday because Pam is gonna be at jury selection so maybe I can slip a few more hours in.  I can't believe how busy I was with the mortgages though.  Literally ALL DAY on thursday I was in the mortgage office instead of the investment side.  Well, kept me busy anyway.

Oh, I also got to talk to Lynn Ann tonight.  I am glad because since I don't have text messaging right now I am out of the loop! LOL so she called me.  Well, I told her to because I interupted her midnight surfing.  Sorry LA! ;)

All in all, I guess this week was pretty good, way to go 2007!!!

Will someone do the Numerology please?

Posted at 5:49 PM, Jan. 4, 2007

OK, so 9 out of 10 people (or it could be more) tell me that 2006 sucked for them.  I am wondering if it has anything to do with the numerology of the year.  I don't know how to do that but I am wondering if there is anyone out there that does or knows someone that does.  I just honestly think it was a "haunted" year.

Bruinsmama (and anyone else that had a tough time too) - Don't forget it... go with it and learn from it.  That is what I have decided to do.  I am going to scrap these things that stand out in my mind because obviously they are important to me, whether they are good or bad.  Take the negative energy and turn it into something positive instead of burrying it as negative and letting it fester.  I think that is what I will do.  I hope this makes sense?

Anyway, a little late but...

HAPPY FREAKIN NEW YEAR!!!

A re-cap of 2006

Posted at 7:36 PM, Jan. 2, 2007

Well, I was going to re-cap 2006 but that dang Kris tagged me with this... so I will do it first.  I will not tag you all but I will tag everyone who wants to do it.  I thought it would be fun to learn some things about myself, and who knows, you might learn about your self too.

ABC TAGS

A - Available or single: I am in a new relationship, but if that doesn't work I will be available.
B - Best friend: I would have to say Julie.  She is the one that just takes me in stride, doesn't judge or expect anything of me.
C - Cake or pie: Yes, Kris, brownies count as cake, but for me it is pie, apple, pumpkin, chocolate cream, cherry, lemon meringue, rhubarb (and many others) is my favourite!
D - Drink of choice: Diet Coke - Even if I am not dieting - It is my caffiene fix!
E - Essential item you use everyday: chapstick, definately chapstick
F - Favorite color: GREEN... any form of except teal or aqua
G - Gummy bears or worms: I don't really like either, but if I HAD to choose, it would be worms

H - Hometown: I was born in Creston, BC but then moved to Penticton, lived there till I was about 10 and lived the rest of my life in Dawson Creek... no not like the show.
I - Indulgence: Extra butter popcorn - usually at about 10 am with a diet coke and gossip in Julie's office
J - January or February: Yuck, neither, I live in northern Canada, more like June
K - Kids & names: Darrel & Tryna - Edited to reflect my biological children only
L - Life is incomplete without? Me.  Lately I have had to realize that ME is just as important as everyone and everything else.  I forgot that for quite a while but I am back on track now...
M - Marriage date: September something (either 27th or 29th) I don't remember but then again, neither does he.  The only reason we are so happily married is because he lives 4000 miles away from me ;)
N - Number of siblings: 2 brothers, one older one younger and I am certainly suffering from middle child syndrome.

O - Oranges or apples: I think it depends on the day and the season.  Right now oranges because of the mandarins
P - Phobias or fears: Hmmm, not sure I want to disclose this highly sensitive information - Lint - I don't do dryer lint - it is made of bugs and dead skin
Q - Fave quote: "Believe you will, and act as if it's happened." - Jeffrey Gitomer
R - Reason to smile: Always, a good joke or a good "Easy Button" commercial
S - Season: Winter, because mostly that is all I have
T - Tag 3 or 4 people: hmmm, I might have to think about this because I am not sure I know 3 or 4 people who blog.
U - Unknown fact about me: I am off emergency status for my breast! YAY!!! Everyone will know this by the end of today though! :)
V- Vegetable you don't like:  Cooked  carrots and turnips
W - Worst habit: Over thinking ANY situation
X - Xrays: Does ultrasound and mamogram count here?   Had enough of this crap lately to last a life time.
Y - Your fave food: Cucumbers and Easy Mac.  I don't buy Easy Mac anymore - No way to justify the carbs! LOL

Z - Zodiac sign: Scorpio, I am a red haired scorpio - make your own assumption...

OK, so there is the ABC's of me, it was relatively painless.  But now lets get down to the dirty... 2006.  I wish someone would do the numerology and find out just what exactly it was with that year!  I don't think I met anyone in my travels during the year that was really happy with it.  I personally would like to blame it on the numbers, but I will tell you, 2007 is already looking better for me! YAY!  So a recap.

January - Sandra died, I hit my child (I had never and never have again hit anyone), I had a few counselling sessions, I started drinking coke again (decided it was better than smoking)

February - Missed a day of work during RRSP season (NEVER AGAIN), Natasha died, crack touched my life again

March - Got licensed for mutual funds, Donalda died, I got to see Darrel play in a tournament

April - The dogs were euthanized wrongfully

May - Marshall's first birthday, Jayde died, Darrel turned 16

June - School's out but children have to deal with death of their friend Darin, planning for Fagatawa is in full swing

July - Fagatawa and over 70 people signed in, Terrance and I ceased to be friends after 20 years of friendship

August - This may have been an OK month, I am not sure...

September - Kids started back to school, I bought my tickets for Toronto, Kali died

October - Creativ Festival in Toronto, I got to meet the girls on the design team of the Stamping Zoo, split with Lee Ann

November - Turned 35 (that was hard), rough go of it with new relationship - not exactly sure what we were doing yet, found out daughter is skipping school

December - Emotional roller coaster, found lump in my breast, aunt had heart attack, other aunt fell and slipped on the ice and broke her leg, 2006 was finally OVER!

So, I was given the advice to write this on a piece of paper, wrinkle it up and then throw it at someone, it would help to take away the bad... well, I decided I didn't want to throw the bad energy at someone, so it is here instead, where everyone can decide if they want to read it or not.

My Birthday.

Posted at 5:01 PM, Nov. 17, 2006

OK, just for you guys, I am 35.  Turned 35 yesterday... for the rest of the world, I am 25 for the 10th year in a row! ;)  lol

Just thought I would tell you that.  And I will add a couple of stories, because my life is boreing... you know?!?!?

About 4 or so months ago my friend, my son and 2 of his friends and I were driving in my car down the road near the local swimming pool.  There was a police car following me for some time and finally on went the red and blues.  Well, I pull over and start yelling at the kids to make sure they are wearing their seatbelts and they all assure me that they are.  Well, the police woman walks up to my window and says "Can I have your license and registration please?"  I had already got my license out while she was walking up to the car and my friend was digging through the glove box to get the papers out.  She looks at my license and says "OK, thank you, I don't need your registration".  I asked her why not and she says "Well, I thought you looked too young and that you needed an "N" and that you had too many passengers".  She laughed and started back to her car.  I didn't know whether to be flattered or offended.  Everyone in my car thought it was ridiculously funny, considering I have a son who is 16 years old and has an "L" which in BC is the learner's license.  The "N" comes after that when you are 17 and you are required to have it until you are 19 and it carries some pretty heavy restrictions, such as no more than 2 passengers.  Yup, me, 19 and too many passengers? lol

So I took it in stride because since my weightloss I have been getting ID'd almost every where I order a drink.  So I rolled with it... until...

One morning I was driving Tryna (my 15 year old daughter) and her friend to school (grade 10 in the Senior High School!) Well, I was trying to get to the in drive before someone else, and going obviously too fast, well the police man ( MAN HE WAS CUTE) waved me over because I was doing 42 in a 30 zone!  Anyway he comes over to the car and says "Are you just on your way to school?"  HOLY CRAP! This was in about the middle of October.  So I laughed and said "No," as I handed him my license, "I am just dropping the girls off."  Well the girls got out of the car right there and laughed and laughed and headed off toward the school.  Well, he gave me a warning, laughed about my age a little bit and then told me to have a good day at work.  As I was pulling away, rolling up my window, he is running across the road yelling to the other police officer "Hey! Guess how OLD she was!"  LOL.  Tryna said that sent her and her friend into hysterics...

So I guess the old statement is true, "You are only as old as the police think you are."  LOL

If it CAN happen, it WILL -- In my life...

Posted at 6:22 PM, Nov. 15, 2006

So I don't know, I just think that some people attract the wrong energy, and I have been attracting just that!

Well, maybe not all that, but a lot of it.  Let's start with Toronto though:

THIS WAS GREAT!  The CreativFestival.  I went to work the booth for Lynn Ann and the Stamping Zoo.  Tryna came with me, she saved up her own money for her ticket and she had more spending money than me while we were there! HOLY MOLY!  She also worked the booth on Friday for me when I was so exhausted that I had to go and sleep.  (Mostly because of how cranky I was ;)  So anyway, I got to meet Lynn Ann, Carolyn, Monika, and Kim.  I got to eat "street meat" as it is referred to there, I call it a hotdog from a vendor lol and I got to stamp my heart out and shop the festival.  Some of the other exhibitors found it strange that I would spend my own money to buy a plane ticket and then go and work a week setting up, working and tearing a booth for someone I have only ever met online.  I will tell you, it was the THE BEST vacation I have EVER had!  Tryna had a good time too, she got to meet Nick and she got to stamp her little heart out too!  She wandered a bit around the show but didn't really look too much at the fabrics and sewing machines like she wanted to, there was too much other STUFF that she decided needed to buy like finger nail stamps, pillows, mitts, jewelery, belts, hats etc etc... Kim and I took the subway one day, that was VERY cool and I shopped with Wendy and bought the coolest set of utensils I have ever seen!  They have faces!  We also ate Wendy's almost EVERY DAY! HOLY MAN!  I loved it!  and we didn't even have to drive an hour and a half to get it!   So anyway, that about sums it up for Toronto.   THANK YOU LYNN ANN!  And the rest of the Zoo Crew!

Now for the interesting stuff?

I have a friend who has been a good friend of mine for about 6 or so years.  I helped to move him down here from the small town where he was living in Northern BC.  Lee Ann stood up for him at his wedding.  We became really good friends.  Well, recently, we became more than really good friends.  So this all blew up in our faces right before I left for Toronto.  I almost didn't go because of it.  The short version, He and I are now together as a couple.  Do I love him?  I think so.  Does he love me?  I think so.   We are learning things about each other slowly, but for the most part it is really good.  I enjoy having someone that I can relate to.  Someone who is interested in some of the same things I am and someone who enjoys being with me.  We obviously have our differences, but we will work that out as we go, I am sure.

Sadly, for us to be together, we both ended up destroying our previous relationships to do it.  His wife accused me yesterday of being fake and not caring, but that isn't it at all.  I cared too much, and she got hurt in the cross fire.  I feel horrible about it.  Infact there was a point where I wasn't sure I was able to carry on a relationship with him because of how his wife felt.  He assured me it was his decision to make.  He was right.  She is angry and hurt and sad, as am I, and I completely understand, and just to make it clear, I am not without conscience and I do care that someone got hurt because of it.

And now the story of the hour, the story of the day, the story of the week, the story of the month, oh hell lets make it the story of the YEAR:

The day after I got back from Toronto I was awakened about 10 minutes before my alarm clock went off.  I heard banging on the door and wasn't sure if it was Darrel because he forgot his key again or what.  So I start to wander down the hallway and open the door.  Well the banging gets louder and I can hear a woman's voice screaming "Open the door!"  So I was worried, VERY worried and I opened the door to have her fall into my porch stark raving naked screaming "Call 911 they are after me".  It scared the crap outta me because I thought she was being raped!  And I wasn't sure if she had led rapists to my house where my teen aged daughter was.  I ran down the hall to grab the phone and called 911.  It was still dark and I was talking on the phone to the 911 operator and telling her what I thought was going on.  The girl seemed to relax a little now that she was in a safe place so I turned on the light.  I was going to get her a blanket and find out who exactly was after her while we waited on the police or ambulance or whoever they sent to come get the poor girl.  Well, as soon as I flicked on the light she got up and opened the door and took off out into the yard again.  I told the 911 operator and told her I was baffled.  I didn't know why she would do that, I didn't know why she wouldn't feel safe waiting at my house.  Then I looked out the door and found out... it was actually THE POLICE who were after her!  Well 4 police officers took off after her up the side yard and out onto the neighbours driveway, finally catching her around the corner at another house, trying to do the same thing she had done to me.  I decided to call in late for work and wait for the police, I was still worried that she had been or was almost raped.  By 10:00 I hadn't heard anything and decided to head to work and called the police on my way.  I said "Hi, I live in my town and this morning..." the dispatch says "Oh, one moment, I will put you through."  She knew what I was talking about before I even said it.  So anyway, I spoke to the officer in charge and he told me that she was on crack.  She was hallucinating and thought that the police were bad people that were after her.  And that she had been admitted to the hospital and that no, she had not been raped.  Well I was very glad that she hadn't been raped but my heart broke when I found out it was the very drug that I have fought so hard to keep my children away from, that led her to my door.  I have no idea what has happened to the girl or where she has gone.  Hopefully she will get the help she needs.  BC has a very good medical plan so hopefully she will be able to benefit from that.  It was a horrible thing to see and a very scary ordeal to endure.  I will tell you that.

so I guess this is long and boreing now... so I will sign off with a couple of words of the day... Honestly, the crack definition came right off the m-w website.  Even number 9.

Hello! I am still alive!

Posted at 11:38 PM, Jul. 22, 2006

I know I was negligent before but holy moly!  I have been really bad lately haven't I?  I have so much to do in the summer that nothing else gets done so don't feel bad, I am ignoring everyone else too!   OK, so what has been up with me?  How about this.  I wasn't going to let Darrel get his Learner's License but I did.  I didn't want to prolong the agony of having to drive them to work so stinkin early in the morning anymore!  so it was completely selfish reason's but I will never let him know that.  LOL

So their dad has told them that he is coming to visit them this summer.  I don't know when and I don't know but there was word of his mother coming with him *obviously so she could foot the bill* so Yay.  So the laws changed for Piercings, you can get a piercing without a parent signature when you are 16 - in BC it used to be 19 - and with a parent signature when you are 14 - it used to be 16 - so take a wild guess what they did! LOL... Darrel got his eyebrow pierced and Tryna got her nose AND her eyebrow pierced!

When asked the piercer asked why she was getting them right after her brother had got one the day before she told him - her words EXACTLY - "To piss off my dad."

I laughed and the piercer was horrified when he found out that their dad hadnt' bothered to see them in 3 years.  I am sure the only reason he is coming now is because of the pictures Tryna sent to him when she first dyed her hair.  He realizes that she isn't still the little 11 year old girl he last saw... and that he missed her growing into a woman.  And I bet he just cringes because she looks so much like me! lol.  Anyway, apparently dad and gramma are going to stay at a campground and the kids will go visit there.  That makes me wonder if they are bringing a camper or something.  I don't know but I think I am going to take this opportunity to high tail it out of town for a few days! LOL  All right then, enough dad dissing... well maybe not, one more thing.  I can't wait till he realizes how much taller than him Darrel is!  He is going to fall over.  They were just little kids last time he saw them.  Now they are almost adults.  I don't know how someone could go that long without seeing their children!  He asked them to come down this year and they said no because they had asked him the last 2 years and he said no.  So this year they told him they couldn't take holidays because they hadn't had their jobs for an entire year.  So my friend is the manager where they both work and she has backed them up for me too.  So surprisingly he said he will come here.  The thing that makes me not sure that he will though is that he still hasn't sent dates.  I guess we will see.  So I guess all in all, it isnt' really me that is negligent... is it?

WHAT THE HELL??? Would you put this into your teenaged daughter's body???

Posted at 1:59 PM, Jun. 29, 2006

OK, my American sisters get involved!!! I am OUTRAGED!  I can't believe this, but if you have teenaged daughters, or daughters in general you NEED to read this!  I can't believe the odacity of the American Regulators!  This is INSANE!

I can't believe that they actually think this could be good for a girl who is going through her most physical and psychological changes of her life!  I would NEVER do this to my child and I don't think it is good for anyone to pump their bodies full of a vaccine that they aren't sure of!!!

Carolyn Says...

I have to update my blog... Not sure what I am going to update it with, but here goes...

Tryna has an evening.  Yup, the grade nine classes that are moving on to the high school get to have an evening.  I don't know what that means but I guess I am going with her too! yay... I can't wait to be in a room full of 150 14 year old children.  Sounds like my idea of a GREAT time.  the worst part will be that their friend doesn't get to be there.  It is his birthday on the 18th too.  He was 3 weeks away from his 16th birthday.  How sad is that?

Oooooh, I don't even know if I posted that here.  Tryna's friend died 2 weeks ago of a heart attack.  A 15 year old boy died of a heart attack.  How scary is that... so that is one to add to my list.  He didn't actually die in June but his funeral was June 3rd, so I am considering it in June... that makes death EVERY MONTH THIS YEAR!!  I don't know how I am gonna take it if it happens every month this year... it is horrible.  What was worse is that I STILL haven't dealt with Sandra's death and had to help Tryna through the death of her friend.  It is the first time someone her age that she knew well died... so she has no idea of what to expect.  They do have a counsellor at their disposal so that is good and I know she has been utilizing that, so that is also good but it is just so unfair... things like that aren't supposed to happen to little boys!

Oh, and last week I backed right into someone.  It was great!  hardly any damage to my car but 1300.00 worth of damage to his hunk of $hit farm car... so it was definately not worth it... it would have been more worth it if it had been a mercedes or a cadillac or something because BC now has a whole different way of adjusting insurance... not fair.  Because I have been driving for 20 years and have NOTHING to protect me even though I am a roadstar driver.  Oh well though, I guess that is par for the course in my life lately... isn't it?

Artemis is about the stupidist cat I have met on the face the planet... he keeps getting into fights with other cats and coming home beat to snot... but won't stay in the house... well he has a big gash on his foot so I will not let him out till it heals.  He doesn't like it much and neither do I because he is tearing the house apart and meowing like a female in heat!  It is stressful!

Yeah, so I guess nothing much really has changed! LOL.  Same ole same ole... I wish something romantic, exciting, intriguing would happen to me!

Looking Up?

Posted at 3:58 PM, May. 31, 2006

Holy moly, I think things might be looking up for me.  I don't want to jinx it but I feel better today that I have in a long long time... and I don't dread going home.  I used to HATE going to my nice, big, beautiful house because I was intimidated by my neighbours, but I think that I am definately strong enough to fight back.  Let's hope this feeling doesn't go away during my drive home...

I am going to put hardwood floor throughout my house... not laminate I decided.  I like the look my aunt has and I know it will be a lot of work and money but I will go room by room and who knows, I might even do different colours etc... but if there is anyone who has any tips or advice for me, please let me know.  I am going to do it myself so anything would be helpful! :)

FRIENDS...

Posted at 1:03 PM, May. 24, 2006

So I have 2 friends, Pam and Pamela... we all bear the same tattoo on our left wrists.  We even designed the tattoo ourselves... anyway, we have been split up for quite some time as Pamela has moved to Nova Scotia and Pam has moved to Grande Cache.  I used to go and visit Pam in Grande Cache quite a bit but had to stop that when the price of gas sky rocketed!  I haven't seen her since Sandra's funeral and I have been missing her madly... so the other day she phoned me and told me that things aren't going that great in her life either and that she needed me... I was totally feeling the same way so I went to Grande Cache and spent the night with her and she came here and spent the night with me.  It was good.  It wasn't as therapeutic as I thought it would be because of course, just like we feed off each other's good energy we feed off the bad as well.  I am pretty exhausted from the visit but I am SOOOO glad I got to have it.

I love Pam and Pam... and when we used to go out together if someone would ask our names each of the Pams would say "Pam" and I would too! LOL.  We all used to bartend in the same lounge too.  We had so much fun, the regular patrons referred to us as the twisted sisters.  In fact I was the last to get hired there and the next day one of the regulars came in when the boss was training me and said "I can't believe you have hired all 3 twisted sisters."  That is when the name stuck! LOL.

We used to go on road trips quite frequently back then in my old Mercury Topaz.  That thing was on it's last leg but it got us where we wanted to go.  I don't think I could even count the number of times we drove that old rust bucket to Grande Prairie, Fort St. John, Chetwynd, Fairview etc etc... but boy were we cool doing it!    I miss Pamela a lot, I have talked to her on the phone a few times and she sometimes gets my messages on MSN but I wish she was still here.

Grande Cache is always just a 4 hour drive away so I will see Pam whenever I want but I wish she would get her drivers license so she could come and visit me!

One day we will be together again and people will feel the energy eminating from the twisted sisters again!

So, I think Jenn and I have come up with a pretty good way of supporting each other with our weight loss... I have lost 8 of the 13 I gained back since Christmas and I am on a losing streak so that is good... Mostly we do exercise which is hard for me to keep focused on.  We have walked and done waterfit so far.  And we are threatening to break open the cellophane wrap on the exercise videos too!

So hopefully I can get things in gear for this summer and get out of my slump... keep your fingers crossed for me!

HOLY COW! Not sure I like 2006

Posted at 12:22 PM, May. 12, 2006

So it wasn't bad enough that Sandra died on New Year's but this is how it goes...

Sandra - Jan

Natasha - Feb

Donalda - Mar

Clyde & Apollo - Apr

Jade - Last week

I don't like this, especially considering these things are only supposed to happen in 3's... well this isn't 3.  And death every month is not fair!

Let's start with Natasha, because I know that you all know about Sandra.  But Natasha hits home probably for a lot of you, so keep your eyes and ears open when your child is having a tough time in high school...

Natasha is Tammy and Angel's cousin, I didn't know her personally but know the family very well!  She was a 17 year old girl who had been an honour student in high school and ended up getting in with the wrong crowd.  Well, she made some wrong choices about drugs and they ended up killing her.  She was murdered in a car and then the car was set on fire.  I had to take my friends to this funeral where an entire extended family of hundreds of people were torn to pieces.  It was horrible, I just say, watch your children's behaviour and it is NEVER too early to teach them that drugs are wrong.

Then there was Donalda, I didn't know her either but my Sister In Law whom I love dearly was VERY good friends with her.  They worked together every night and had WAY more than just a work relationship.  Infact, a few days before she died she had thrown her new digital camera at my SIL and told her to "figure it out and show me, just delete those pictures of me"  she didn't know how to work it.  So that night she was headed to work and NOBODY knows what happened.  SIL was going to give her back her camera with photos deleted.  THE LAST PICTURES EVER TAKEN OF HER!  So I had heard about it before my SIL because Lee Ann called me at home and told me to try to get ahold of SIL before she got to work.  I called my brother and SIL was already on her way to work and there was no way to stop her.  So she got to work and got told the bad news.  She cried and cried and Lee Ann had to take her home.  She called me the next day and asked me if we could get the photos back, of course I know a little about the computer and was able to retrieve the photos.  SIL now has them on her computer and Donalda's daughter who inherited the camera now has photos taken literally days before she died.  I don't think anyone knows to this day what happened.  Apparently she swerved into oncoming traffic and hit head on with another vehicle.  Donalda was the only one who died.

Which leads us to Clyde and Apollo, but everyone knows what happened there, so on to Jade.

Jade babysat my kids when they were small.  She also babysat for my friend Lori.  That is how I met her, so if Lori and I went out together we would usually take all the kids to Lori's and call Jade to babysit.  She is 23.  She had some troubles in her teenaged years and tried the things that most rebellious teenagers do, parties, drinking, drugs, staying out all night etc, but nothing too major.  She straightened up in her 20's and got together with a guy who, as far as I know, loved her and she loved him.  I don't know exactly what happened and I am sure nobody else does either, but the rumour goes.... She had been drinking, got in a fight with her husband and jumped in her car and took off.  Well, Dawny was her best friend for their later teenaged years.  She moved to NS and came back about a month ago, she had only seen Jade once since she had been back and she was supposed to come visit last Saturday... she never showed up, so now Dawny is carrying around all this guilt because she told me that she was pissy because Jade didn't show up and was avoiding her calls.  Later that evening she got the call that Jade had crashed her car and died.  It turns out that she wasn't avoiding Dawny's calls... Sadly.

So anyway, I don't know if I can take much more of this!  How do I deal?  Jade's funeral is today and I am leaving work early to take Dawny but I haven't even dealt with Sandra's death yet, it is so hard for me to support these people.  It is also hard for me to not think I am a jinx! I know that is stupidstitious but YEASH!!!

I hope everyone has a great easter.  I haven't had the greatest few months but I am hoping to have a good easter... Tomorrow is supposed to be easter dinner and the kids both have to work... of course but they both work morning shifts so we will hopefully get out to the campsite and meet up with mom before dinner time... keep your fingers crossed... I guess the only way things can get better is if I make them better... but for right now I am going to go and curl up in bed with my book... DEAD Dog Saga

Posted at 1:01 AM, Apr. 12, 2006

And no, that isn't an exageration... just when it seemed like things might get better... the worst happened.  This weekend someone came over and told me that my dogs attacked their puppy... I don't think this is true because first of all my dogs wouldn't attack another dog unless they felt threatened and second, I was in town when she implied that it happened... so that means the dogs were inside.  Well, fearing for their lives because of the threats made to them before... I called the SPCA yesterday morning and told them what had happened.  I have made posters already to find a new home for them but this really worried me.  So she told me that they didn't have room to take them right away but if I called them Tuesday late afternoon that they would see if there was room for Wednesday.  Well about 15 minutes after I got off the phone, Lee Ann phoned me and told me that they were on their way out to get the dogs... that took a lot of stress off my shoulders.  They were going to a safeplace where antifreeze and false accusations couldnt' hurt them. This is true... I just didn't realize that an Animal Control Officer was just as deadly.  So when Lee Ann signed the paper to release the animals that she was actually signing their death warrant!  It is frustrating, angering, sad, horrible, and there just isn't enough description words for me to continue.  Thank goodness I have been recording things here as they happen.  because if not for that I wouldn't have any proof of what has been happening.  I just can't believe that the very reason we asked for help ended up happening by the very people that were supposed to help us.  Apparently they didn't even have an assessment... they were brought into a room full of other dogs and one of my dogs lunged at the dogs who were no doubt barking and they then deemed them vicious enough to euthanize.  I don't get it.  Why was this woman given this kind of authority?  Anyway, I just thought I would let you all know that the stress of the situation is causing horrific problems... and now, the ultimate problem... death! The kids are devastated... well so are LeeAnn and I... as well as our families who loved our dogs and the nice neighbour on the other side of us... she cried when I showed her the pictures we took last week to make the poster to give them away to farm... I cry just thinking about it...
